comic #151: cabin pressured
The (not-so) subtle messages in Futurama are the best
Can we talk about how Cap and Bucky have opposite masks?
Cap has mouth and eyes exposed, forehead covered. Bucky has mouth covered and eyes painted black, his forehead exposed.
What a lovely symmetry.
But the symbolism too. Cap’s is a helmet, protection, to keep him safe from physical harm. Bucky’s is a muzzle to keep him silent and anonymous and on a leash.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
― Pablo Neruda
this gets funnier every year
There was probably a better way to phrase that, Daniel Radcliffe.
I’ve been in a creative black hole lately…but hopefully this is me getting back into it.
And I finally got to see Captain America on the weekend (finnnaaally), which certainly helped.
Based on this post, I finally managed to finish my first fan comic for Captain America.
"Um, Sherlock, your leg is…"
"So could you…?"
hello this is a text post in support of bucky barnes: accidental hipster, who wears steve’s huge plaid button-downs over natasha’s too-tight jeans and a pair of old doc martens sam was going to donate to goodwill, because those are the clothes…
Another Fargo sketch.
